Privacy at a glance
Effects Finder helps you record belongings and where they are stored. We do not sell personal information, serve behavioral advertising, or track you across apps and websites.
Data you provide
Inventory names, locations, notes, photos, documents, household labels, borrower names, and related details are stored on your device and, when available, in your private iCloud container. This content is used to provide the app's inventory features.
Optional AI features
If you add your own Anthropic API key and invoke an AI feature, the selected photo or text is sent directly to Anthropic to fulfill that request. These features are optional and do not run automatically. Review Anthropic's privacy terms before using them.
Purchases
Apple processes Effects Finder Plus purchases. Effects Finder receives entitlement status and purchase history needed to unlock features, but does not receive your payment-card details.
Device permissions
Camera access supports item photos, text recognition, and barcode scanning. Microphone and speech-recognition access support voice entry. Notifications are used only for reminders you enable.
Retention and deletion
You can delete inventory records in the app. You can manage synchronized app data through your Apple account. Removing the app may not remove records already synchronized to iCloud.
